While the credit crunch continues to bite, it's becoming more and more desirable to invest in good quality handmade items, and vintage clothes, which give you a unique look and don't break the bank either. With this look I was going for retro, but fresh student look, the perfect weekend antidote for serious weekday work clobber.

I had in my mind a nostalgic look for a woman who's meeting her lover at the train station in order to go away for a weekend break in the countryside. I tired to find good quality handmade items that have a classically timeless look, and this gorgeous coat fit the bill perfectly.

Here's another dose of unique finds that won't break the bank either. This look is for those nights when you want to go out for a quiet sophisticated dinner. When you want to feel comfortable, but look classy, and be safe in the knowledge that you're not going to come across the same dress in a hurry.

Unique Treasures - Apple Fresh

For this first issue I sourced items that would work together as a fresh look for a romantic night out on a summer's evening. I chose white as the base colour to accentuate sun-kissed skin, with summery splashes of apple green and pink to take you back to those care-free first days of school summer holidays. Remember, all of these items are unique pieces, so if you like the look of something, you better be quick!
