Goodie Bag - Help me to help you

The Goodie Bag feature is where I host little contests and promotions, where you'll have a chance to bag yourself something nice to add some cheer into your day.
For this first ever edition of Goodie Bag I've put together some cute little things that should engage most of your senses.

In the goodie bag are:
- Mark Hill De-Frizz Shine Serum
- Heathcote & Ivory soap in Rosemary & Orange (smells divine!)
- Accessorize purse in the cutest of polka dot prints
- Little trinket box for your tiny treasures
- Phone jewellery to dress your mobile phone up with
- Butterfly stickers, just because you're never too old for stickers
- Fruitella strawberry sweets for that summer taste
To be in for a chance to win this goodie bag, comment on this entry with any suggestions or wishes you might have for DIVA Look Book. What kind of features would you like to see? For which occasions would you like to see looks for? Any great shopping or inspiration links you want to share? Anything you can think of really! And as a bonus, if you link back to this entry you will be entered into the draw twice. Let's get the word out there! :)
This contest closes on Monday 23 June at 5pm GMT. I'll draw the winner later on Monday night and announce it on Tuesday 24 June.
Looking forward to your suggestions!

Wou. Words really can't describe how much I adore Diva Look Book. I am a plus size girl, and I've felt a little bit left out reading the style blogs with gorgeous clothes - for skinny girls. I love clothes, shoes, bags and especially jewelery, and love to read and see what other shopaholics have found :)
I would love to see suggestions on what looks good on a plus size girl. How can we look the best, and where can we find the best looking clothes for all occassions, especially for different kind of parties.

Well, I wish all the best, and keep up the good work!
Really nice goodie bag! :-D In general I would be happy to see photos of girls, who are not extremely skinny.
I have ofter been wondering, what kind of image do the fashion blogs nowadays give to those very young girls, who are not sixe XS. I think your blog will give a more realistic view of women, fashion is not just for XS sized girls!
I was wondering that since we all have different body shapes, plussized or not, how about posting tips on how a fashion trend will look the best on different body shapes; apple, pear, hourglass?
-Marjut
This blog´s idea is great :) and it´s nice to see beautiful plus sice girls with confident attitude :)
I´m truly loving the idea of this blog. Being a soft and curvy woman myself, I find this blog to be a breath of fresh air in the world of kate moss wannabes.
I would definitely like to see posts about how to choose right type of clothes for a plus size girl, different body types and dressing them in a proper way would be very helpful.
I also wish to see more pictures of fabulous curvaceous women also in the future.
lovely goodies! i think your diva of the week -idea is really good. gorgeous and stylish women in this world where almost all we get to see in media are really skinny girls. not everyone is like. and isnt even meant to be as we come in all sizes and shapes.
Forgot to mention that I linked your blog (yesterday).

I need to have some advice for my swimwear problem! What on earth can size 44 girl with size-D bust wear on the beach without looking ridiculous?
Love the site! I would like to see style sections for different bigger body types. We see them all the time in magazines and fat girls are always bunched together as plus size even though we know we all wear things differently. It would be helpful to me to see advice for how to dress my body type.
Also some sort of self confidence section would be cool and also maybe detailing your favorite online clothing finds. :)
Good luck with the new site.
Suvi: I'm so glad you're liking what you see so far! The purpose of the look books is definitely to show different looks for different occasions. Maybe I'll try to expand on it a bit and write more about why I've chosen different things etc. Thanks for the links!
bisquits: Yeah that was definitely one of my main ideas, to try to find curvier girls to photograph on the street. Just have to find the time (and nerve!) to get busy with that!
anette/marjut: Good idea. I'm actually thinking that there could be guest writers, so that people could submit articles on the subjects that they know a lot about and that might interest the readers.
emilia: thanks!
cocogoony: Thank you. :) I will definitely work hard to get pictures of gorgeous curvy girls on here.
mursuliina: I'm glad you're liking it so far! :)
veera: I was actually already planning a summer/beach look book, so keep an eye out for it! :)
sparkliesunshine: That's a good idea. I'll have to think about what's the best way to do that, whether it was just feature articles then and now, or an ongoing section. I also like the idea of empowering articles, perhaps I could get people who are inspirational to me to write about themselves or something. Thanks for the ideas! :)
Hi! Yay for the site! I would love to see lots of pictures of fat ladies, and also the what looks good on different body types sounds great, too!
Erin from fatshionista.
I have an idea that you could maybe use for future competitions (if you were thinking of having more?) - to get readers to sedn in their own "this weeks/months look" like you did where you piece together an outfit and details of where you can buy each item from, you could even have it as a regular thing with the "prize" just being to get featured on the site?
Also you could approach some little accessory places like Heidi Seeker (which I LOVE!) or some Etsy sellers and see if they would donate small items for competition/goodie bag prizes, in return for you either putting a little ad on the site or doing a little article about them?
If you need any help at all let me know and I'll see if I can do anything at all to help you :)
Amy xx
I agree with emilia, this blog´s idea is great :) Keep going! I would like to see here same stuff as before. Diva of the week idea is especially great!
First of all, Your blog is absolutely lovely! I found this through bisquits' blog and i will certainly visit again. (and what a great goodie bag!)
Umh. I would like to read more about you. A swimsuit-post could also be nice! o:
I love the idea of guest bloggers and people being able to contribute to the look book. I think something on the lines of what people have already suggested about what looks good on bigger ladies would be great too. Maybe in a way of how to make some of the current trends work or look best on all body shapes and sizes. :)
Ooh ooh just thought of something else, as it's the wedding season (and I have 5 weddings over the next 4 months) how about a feature on outfits to wear for weddings.
Btw I linked to DLB on my blog :)
xx
I find myself reading this blog quite often =) I'm not really a plus size girl, but not a skinny one either. I find this blog more like me than the ones showing really skinny people....
Diva of the week is a good idea. Maybe readers could send their own pictures for that?
Anyways, I would like to see ideas for smartwear / office look.
ill repeat my earlier suggestion about including economical choices, hoe to pimp old clothes or even create stuff yourself maybe. i realize you may need a co-writer for that, as u said.
but i personally think its important to not just focus on excessive consumption and spending money. not everyone has a lot of money to begin with. yet they have the right (and imagination?) to be stylish.
loving your ideas Jenni and totally agree :D
xx
I'd also like to see photos of beautiful curvy girls with style :) Keep going, you're doing a great job with this blog!
sadhita: There has been a lot of wishes for tips on how to dress different body types so that's definitely something I'll look into doing. :)
amy: Yeah I already have a few places in mind that I might approach for future promotions etc.
To start with at least I think I'll keep the DIVA of the week as a streetstyle 'spotting' feature, but I might have another one in the future for readers' pics. There are a lot of places, like flickr groups, where you can post daily outfit pics though, so it's not really something I'm gonna feature heavily here. But you never know! :)
salla: thanks! High praise from a styleblogging queen like you! ;)
hanna: I think I'll keep stuff about myself in my personal blog, I want this to be a bit wider thing than just me and my wardrobe. Will definitely do a swimsuit feature soon! :)
pebaline: There's now a 'submit an article' option on the contact page. ;)
amy: Good idea! (again :P) Oh and isn't DLB like the coolest acronym ever! :D
emmie: I'm glad you like it so far. I might have a different section for readers pictures in the future. :)
Jenni and amy (again!): While I think the idea of a style/fashionblog in itself is inextricably rooted in consumerism, I also feel that it's not so much about saying 'go and buy this item of clothing', but rather giving inspiration for certain styles and looks, it's then up to the individuals themselves to decide how they want to go about re-creating that - whether it was fleemarket, self-sewn, expensive boutique or highstreet chainstore-bought. My aim is to just make girls, who often think they're missing out on the fun because of their size, open their eyes and get inspired, beyond that everyone presumably consumes according to their own morals. But yes, I would love for someone to write well-thought out articles or share tips and sites etc. on these issues as well.
akvamariini: Thanks very much! :)
Personally I find nothing more inspiring than pictures of gorgeous women in all sizes who know how to dress their body type. That's why I like the idea of "Diva of the week" so much! And that's why I love to read fashion/style blogs - they are much more inspiring than fashion magazines nowadays.
Thumbs up for this beautiful new blog! :)

Someone probably already mentioned this but I would love to see articles on good places to buy clothing online and how to shop for certain sizes - like what are the best jeans for you etc :) I am not a plus size but I am not a small either and am always looking for more information on fashion and makeup. Being a tomboy most of my life I didnt learn much =p And most important to me, places where I can afford to buy things as while I see many items I like, its hard to find affordable sites.

ps - I linked you on my site =)
Oooh I just love your new blog and I adore the idea of a blog to curvy women!
I would like to read something about online shopping, I never order anything online 'cause I don't know where to buy!
Thank you and I will continue reading your blog...

Love the idea! Keep going the same way!
I didn't mean to get readers to post Diva's of the week I meant the "look book" thing like you posted yesterday where you create a picture of an outfit and details of where the items can be bought from :)
Nice blog, previously the only good blogs I've found have been too fat for fashion (which is marvellous and highly recommended!) and fatshionista flickr group (which I never post on, but love regardless).
I'd love to see a facehunter type thing for fat girls; if you see a gorgeous curvy girlie in great clothes, ask her where they come from, take a snap on your phone and submit them to you, so you can put one up every so often?
Also, there is a website called style shake which I recommend http://www.styleshake.com/user/ at least for viewing pleasure. Design your own dresses, choose the fabric, style and colour, add on bts and bobs and they make it like magic! I haven't ordered anything, but when I sent them my fairly ample measurements, they were most unfazed and said "Yeah, no probs!".
I'm tired of shopping at the same old places, so any links are always most enjoyed. Ah, work. My favourite bit is the endless free time...
